About the Role
The Iowa City Veterans Affairs Health Care System (ICVAHCS) is seeking an Intermittent, Physician (Hospitalist) to join the Specialty Care Service Line at the VAMC in Iowa City, Iowa.

- →The incumbent will have knowledge of clinical delivery structures, electronic medical records, and experience in clinical management and administrative matters.
- →The incumbent will perform a variety of complex clinical and administrative tasks including but is not limited to, TMS training/yearly clinical competencies, patient education and guidance, timely and precise documentation, process workflow and other functionality regarding necessary clinical systems.
- →The incumbent will work to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes, and providing support in accordance with organizational goals.
- →The incumbent will have proven communication skills (written and verbal), team-building skills, and demonstrated ability to promote morale and teamwork.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
