About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced leave accrual may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the Primary Care Optimization (PCO) team leader providing comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with complex and interdependent acute and chronic conditions.
- →Provide pre- and post-deployment health assessments as well as preventive health assessments (PHA).
- →Complete administrative paperwork and assessments required of active duty Primary Care Managers.
- →Advise other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.
- →Provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.
- →Serve as member of the professional medical staff following and modifying hospital plans and policies to meet accrediting agencies’ requirements.
- →Participate in local disaster training exercises as directed by the Chief of Medical Staff or MTF Commander; responds to real-world disaster situations.
- →Coordinate with local, state, and county medical emergency personnel to deliver primary care following the assigned facility’s Medical Contingency Response Plan (MCRP).
