The Albuquerque VHA is seeking an Emergency Department Deputy Director to Assist the Chief of Emergency Services in providing administrative guidance and oversight of the emergency department as well as serve as a clinical provider.
What You'll Do

- →The ED deputy director will have primary responsibility for the emergency department mid-level providers.
- →Must demonstrate leadership skills and a high degree of personal and professional skills, interpersonal relations, critical thinking and problem solving and conflict resolution.
- →The Emergency Department Deputy Director supervises a variety of ED personnel including staff who are aligned under other departments such as nursing.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

- ✓Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. \ The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed.
