This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel in the Federal Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Utilizes pest management control methods to reduce and control hazards to public health, stored products, structures, and vegetation.
What You'll Do
- →Ensure animals are properly loaded and secured to be transported safely.
- →Decontaminate and neutralize restricted-use chemicals following Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines.
- →Recognize conditions conducive to pest infestation and be able to detect concealed infestations.
- →Determine area and scope of infestation, identifies type of pest and environment.
- →Conduct integrated pest management surveys and inspections.
- →Traps and removes feral and other wild animals as recommended or required.
- →Carries chemical solutions and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. for extended periods.
- →Completes pest control assignments independently, reviews results and decides if other procedures are necessary.
