This position is located in the Office of Personnel Security and Suitability (PSS), Office of the Senior Coordinator for Security Infrastructure (SI), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS). PSS is responsible for managing the Personnel Security Program, to include implementation of Executive Orders and other statutorily mandated personnel security and suitability programs including the Federal Investigative Standards, Continuous Evaluation, Quality Assurance, suitability for employment, etc.
What You'll Do
- →Evaluate the effectiveness of operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment, quality and quantity standards, procedural, policy, and regulatory compliance, and technical proficiency.
- →Coordinate the planning, monitoring, and reviewing work, aligning resources, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions.
- →Oversee initiating background investigations to determine eligibility for access to classified national security information or assignment to positions requiring public trust determinations.
- →Participate in interagency working groups and committees responsible for reviewing and developing personnel security policies, standards, and criteria.
- →Manage personnel who coordinate visits to overseas posts from Congressional delegations, ensuring their personnel security clearances are passed to RSO's in advance of the visit and that any anomalies are addressed/corrected in advance of the visit.
