This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to Fisher House located on JBSA Lackland.. This is a Regular Part-Time category position with guaranteed 20 hrs/wk. May work up to 40 hrs/wk. Work schedule varies based on facility needs and includes weekends and/or holidays. Employees appointed to regular category positions are eligible for benefits.
What You'll Do
- →This position is assigned to the Department of the Air Force Fisher House (DAFFH) and responsible forproviding assistance and/or support in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility.
- →Duties and Responsibilities:Admin/Clerical: Assists in answering phones when needed and makes limited electronic entry of the Fisher House registration forms.Reports incident/injury rule violations to management.
- →Generates and prints the housekeeping report.
- →Assists volunteers inaccomplishment of their tasks.
- →Provides volunteers and others with orientation tours of the facility areas.
- →Guest services: Assists guests with checking in/out.
- →Demonstrates how to use room amenities.
- →Responds to guest's special requests.Report any changes in status or areas of concern to management.
- →Assures guest satisfaction by inquiring about comfort and needs.Elevates complaints to management.
- →Provides general information and facility policies on access and behaviors.
- →Inventory: Collects lost and found items for issue and/or returned to guests.
- →Checks household and inventory items for damage.Maintains inventory of linen and amenity items.
- →Checks inventory of linens and cleaning materials.
- →Monitors and issues replacementitems for guest rooms (i.e., bedding items, shower curtains, etc.).
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓This position does not allow for education substitution.
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
