This position is located in the Office of Design and Construction (DC), Managing Director of Real Property (RP), Directorate of Domestic Operations and Emergency Services (DOES), Bureau of Administration (A), Department of State (DOS). The incumbent serves as the Office Director, exercising full technical, managerial and administrative authority over the Department's domestic real property lifecycle program, including multi-million dollar acquisitions, design, construction and space management.
What You'll Do
- →Manages a major program segment with significant resource and contracting authority, utilizing division supervisors to direct and oversee the work of subordinate personnel and contractors.
- →Oversees contractor construction and renovation efforts by conducting milestone inspections, enforcing strict design compliance and serving as a subject matter expert during high-value contract negotiations and settlements.
- →Serves as the building authority on design, feasibility and space utilization studies while directing a master plan for domestic owned and leased facilities.
- →Directs the domestic real property lifecycle by managing strategic planning, acquisition, construction, budgeting and asset portfolio benchmarking across the department's owned and leased facilities.
