About the Role
The selectee of this position serves as a Occupational Health Specialist responsible for the management and oversight of the Medical Qualification/Fitness for Duty program, the Medical Return to Work Contract Performance, and the Court Security Officer (CSO) Applicant Interim Medical Approval program for contract Court Security Officers. This position is located in the Judicial Security Division, Arlington, VA.
What You'll Do
- →As a Occupational Health Specialist at the GS-0601-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Serving as a technical authority, advisor and consultant for occupational health program management, administration and evaluation to the Office of Court Security (OCS).
- →Managing and audit multiple medical/health review programs for applicants/incumbents and works with the contracted security companies to verify the medical qualification review/adjudication of those entering and occupying positions within the CSO program.
- →Acting as the liaison between the Office of Court Security (OCS) management and the CSO contract employers medical program representatives.
- →Providing guidance and oversight to CSO contract employers on medical related issues.
- →Ensuring that documentation by the CSO applicant/incumbent and the examining clinic/practitioner is complete and accurate and that the services were provided in accordance with the USMS CSO contract medical requirements.
