About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to perform duties as the senior military pay technician and primary point of contact for all military pay issues, transactions, and procedures for active, reserve, inactive reserve (IMA) or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. Responsible for resolving the more difficult complex actions and others.

What You'll Do

  • As the senior technician, monitors, reviews or initiates complex transactions where guidelines lack specificity to requirements, circumstances or problems, and/or frequently change.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact on reserve pay actions and coordinator on resolving reserve pay matters.
  • Manages and/or assists lower-level technicians in resolving more complicated debt collection cases.
  • Accomplishes the more difficult customer complaints and technical military pay issues.
  • Assists with training lower-level clerks/technicians on miscellaneous technical tasks and various complex actions in support of military pay actions.
