The incumbent serves as the Medical Support Assistant (MSA) in a Contact Center (CC). The incumbent independently provides administrative support across clinics and determines the needs of the Veteran/caregiver. The MSA is responsible for facility wide scheduling and rescheduling appointments, referring patients to other medical specialty clinics, providing customer service, maintaining electronic health records (EHR); in accordance with VHA national scheduling guidelines.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but not limited to: Independently performs a full range of duties related to the delivery of healthcare services in a Contact Center (CC).
- →Advises clinical staff on current administrative processes.
- →Works collaboratively with (CC) team in resolution or direction of calls via various available contact modalities to include but not limited to telephone calls, secure messaging, chat, text messaging and video.
- →The MSA is responsible for answering telephones, secure messages and chat messages, greeting patients, relaying messages to appropriate staff inside or outside of the (CC), scheduling appointments, interpreting and verifying provider orders in accordance with VHA national scheduling guidelines.
- →Work Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 745AM to 430PM, Wednesday 8AM to 12PM Telework: Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen to apply for this job.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
