About the Position: This position works within the Resource Management Division/UBO of a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) in the Lyster Army Health Clinic. The position is in a standard office setting working 40 hours/wk, involving mostly sedentary work with computers, software, and telephones. The applicant can expect to play a vital role in the financial health of the facility. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a Medical Insurance Technician in the Resource Management Divisionof the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- →The Third Party Collection Program (TPCP) creates financial records of transactions including accounts receivable management requiring the incumbent to use independent judgment and initiative in accomplishment of the work.
- →Work is performed by using numerous manual and automation systems and software programs necessary for the TPCP.
- →Third Party Collection (TPC) account assignments include identifying sources of reimbursable earnings and ensuring accurate billing, collection, deposit, and reporting of these earnings.
- →The incumbent advises the supervisor of unusual trends for non-payment by insurance companies and provides input for analytical and evaluative methods to improve the TPCP.
- →Analyzes Accounts Receivable for assigned claims in a timely manner to determine the status of claims errors or obstacles that could delay/prevent payment.
