This position is part of the EDF Office of Energy Dominance Financing, Department of Energy. As a Managing Investment Officer, Utilities Vertical Lead, you will provide financing to American energy and manufacturing projects, including energy generation, transmission, critical minerals, and advanced manufacturing technology projects throughout the United States.
What You'll Do
- →As a Managing Investment Officer, Utilities Vertical Lead, you will: Lead cross-functional teams in conducting in-depth financial, market, legal, and risk evaluations of complex energy projects applying for Department of Energy (DOE) loans.
- →Prepare and present transaction recommendations to the Credit Committee and Credit Review Board, coordinating with legal staff and project sponsors to draft and execute official commitment letters.
- →Serve as the primary representative in negotiating commercial and financial terms and conditions directly with senior corporate and project sponsor officials.
- →Direct a team of Senior Investment Officers and Investment Analysts by establishing goals, evaluating employee performance, managing workloads, resolving conflicts, and supporting staff development.
- →Act as the principal technical authority and spokesperson on financial and market conditions for assigned energy technology sectors, coordinating findings across the agency and with national laboratories.
- →Collaborate with contracting personnel to draft statements of work, procure specialized professional services, and oversee the performance of external financial and market consultants.
