This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Emergency Preparedness and Response Operations, Emergency Preparedness & Response Operations (EPRO). As a Management & Program Analyst (Proj Mgr), GS-0343-11/12, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting projects that enhance the CMS's preparedness and response to public health emergencies and other disasters.
What You'll Do
- →Manages moderately complex and integrated projects or significant phases of larger, more complex initiatives from initiation through closeout.
- →Prepares the agency to protect the health and safety of Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries and ensure readiness and resilience during emergencies.
- →Develops and applies foundational to intermediate skills in project management, data analysis, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and process improvement to support mission-aligned initiatives.
- →Supports projects using established methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and basic process improvement techniques to assist with scope definition, resource coordination, risk identification, and quality assurance in time-bound projects.
- →Involves supporting new service development, assisting with process improvements, capacity building, technology, or contributing to organizational initiatives.
