This position is located in the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), Office of the Director of Administration and Management (DA&M), Performance Improvement Directorate. The DA&M serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary of War (SW) and Deputy Secretary of War (DW) on establishing policies for DOW-wide administration, organization, and management, and for directing shared services, business operations, and security support for OSW and other supported DOW components.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a senior advisor and recognized technical authority on enterprise-level management, organizational structure, administrative operations, performance improvement, and governance.
- →Manages, analyzes, and coordinates highly sensitive action items, taskings, briefing packages, and policy materials involving issues of paramount national security, administrative, organizational, or management importance.
- →Provides cross-functional management studies, strategic initiatives, executive decision support, process improvement, governance analysis, policy implementation, organizational transformation, and sensitive special projects.
- →Independently plans, leads and integrates major assignments that directly influence Department mission execution administrative governance, organizational alignment, resource allocation, and long-term management effectiveness.
- →Ensures executive decisions are translated into actionable, enterprise-wide implementation plans and monitors execution to ensure alignment with leadership intent, policy direction, resource priorities, and Department governance requirements.
