About the Role

The Management and Program Analyst position operates independently to support the Director's Office of the St. Petersburg VA Regional Office with an emphasis on change management strategies and information security techniques to communicate with internal and external audiences.

What You'll Do

  • Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Lead the change management activity within the Regional Office with a focus on communicating strategic policy changes.
  • Conduct Information Security Officer (ISO) activities by reviewing and maintaining specific employee groups' access to various systems, reviewing and maintaining time limited access on sensitive files, reviewing specialized training requirements and completions to maintain access to all systems.
  • Skills in interpreting rules and regulations regarding system access and violations.
  • Conduct random system access audits to ensure employee compliance.
  • Perform a variety of analytical, planning, evaluative, and advisory assignments to quantitatively or qualitatively evaluate the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals, measures, and objectives.
  • Produce graphs and/or charts to illustrate a concept, point, or demonstrate the effectiveness of programs and/or business operations.
  • Perform general office duties including preparation and routing of correspondence, maintaining filing systems, time and attendance, and calendar maintenance.
  • Portray a positive attitude towards responsibilities; remain consistently courteous, respectful, dependable, and cooperative in nature; communicate tactfully when corresponding or communicating with leadership, peers, co-workers, Veterans, and other internal and external stakeholders; and contribute positively to the overall effective operation of the office.
  • Promotion Potential: Promotion to the GS-12.
  • The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.

Requirements
