Incumbent serves as a management and program analyst for an organizational entity of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Provides a wide range of administrative and analytical duties in the conduct of projects and studies of substantive functions to improve the overall work operations of the organization assigned.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) who specializes in the development of new and innovative approaches, methodologies, techniques, and process improvement, e.g., business acumen.
- →Supports evaluating the relationships between major program changes and status of organizations through partnership with analysts and SMEs to create actionable products that provide predictive and prescriptive analytics to enable informed management decisions.
- →Plans, schedules and conducts analyses/studies of proposed program plans for accomplishing program activities.
- →Determines from a programmatic perspective the viability, consistency and accuracy of plans and projections and conducts reviews to determine resource levels required to accomplish programs in a sound and efficient manner.
- →Formulates critical management policies and systems and ensures timely implementation.
- →Advises organization and program managers on critical planning and resource utilization issues.
- →Leads or personally performs complex or controversial studies which result in authoritative recommendations to improve organizational structures, management policies, and work distribution.
- →Leads or personally completes analyses of critical programs by developing baseline performance measurements and comparing performance with the baseline.
- →Prepares long-range(5 year) and short-range planning guidance in accordance with broad agency program policies and objectives.
- →Develops resource (staffing and funding) guidance for subordinate activities and performs continuous appraisal of the utilization of command resources in accomplishing program objectives and goals.
- →Develops staffing and manpower standards covering complex program functions or missions involved in supply chain management, training, research, information management etc.
- →Projects typically involve development of new approaches to identifying meaningful workload factors and performance quality levels and determining accurate measurement techniques.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
- →Develops recommendations based on management studies and surveys and discusses recommended courses of action with program managers to resolve problem areas.
