About the Role

Located in the Office of Procurement, Acquisition, & Logistics (OPAL), Category Management Support Office (CMSO), the Management and Program Analyst serves as an advisor and must have the ability to fully comprehend the execution of category management across all federal categories. CMSO provides information to multiple stakeholders throughout Veterans Affairs and other Government Agencies regarding category management and contracting solutions provided by OALC.

What You'll Do

  • Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Serve as principal analyst to develop, manage, implement, and administer content and document management systems for improving the relevancy and consistency of information (or knowledge) shared with users of data management systems.
  • Research the methods, mechanisms, and improvement opportunities for communicating information and how that information is shared and understood.
  • Act as liaison to facilitate the sharing and use of content.
  • Identity data required tor use in the management, direction, and implementation of Category Management across the VA enterprise.
  • Develop management plans, procedures, and methodology.
  • Conduct complex and special studies for efficiency and productivity and recommends changes or improvements in work methods, and procedures.
  • Develop procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems.
  • Initiate and conduct comprehensive studies to centralize content stores for multiple formats, improve access and delivery of information, and measure performance of data management system technology tools for delivering information.
  • Evaluate successes and failures of knowledge delivery services to define areas of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Locates methods for leveraging content among organizations to enhance efficiency and reduce rework and cost.
  • Perform extensive and in-depth reviews for a more efficient and effective mission and function.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (employee may be required to work unusual tours of duty) Telework: Available - Ad Hoc telework (situational telework) as determined by the agency policy Compressed Schedule: Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
