About the Role

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Secretary (OS). The primary purpose of this position is to plan and conduct management and program analysis studies and projects. Provide advice and consultation to agency managers regarding the improvement of organization and program activities and operations. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

What You'll Do

  • As a Management and Program Analyst, GS-0343-9, your typical work assignments may include: Planning and conducting a variety of complex projects and studies that encompass the analysis and evaluation of the distribution of work among positions and organizations and the appropriate staffing levels and skills mix.
  • Performing management surveys to determine compliance with agency regulations, procedures, sound management practices, and effective utilization of staff.
  • Providing technical data, guidelines, and technical reports in field of specialty.
  • Adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity.
