This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO). The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety analyses land provide managers with objectively based information for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of agency operations and management. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →As a Management and Program Analyst, GS-0343-12/13/14, your typical work assignments may include the following: Plans, executes, and reports on analyses, evaluations, and investigations of program operations, including complex or sensitive projects that require innovative approaches to resolve new or unprecedented issues.
- →Identifies and analyzes issues affecting program effectiveness and efficiency; develops recommendations and proposals for improving organizational productivity, resource utilization, and operational processes.
- →Serves as a technical expert and authoritative advisor to management and program staff, providing guidance on administrative policies, management theories, and program direction, including interpretation of legislative or regulatory requirements.
- →Participates in or leads the development of short- and long-range plans, strategies, and goals for program implementation; oversees the achievement of objectives and recommends adjustments to meet changing organizational needs.
- →Prepares and presents detailed reports, findings, and recommendations on complex issues or problems impacting major programs, including defending controversial conclusions and representing the organization in high-level forums.
