This position is located in the Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (BC), Performance, Accountability, and Risk Division (PARD), External Audits and Investigations.
What You'll Do
- →Analyze and evaluate complex operational and management issues using quantitative and qualitative methods to assess effectiveness, efficiency, compliance with laws and regulations, internal controls, and organizational performance.
- →Serve as an audit liaison by coordinating communications with oversight bodies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of materials provided for audits, facilitating information exchanges, and tracking and monitoring audit-related corrective actions.
- →Interpret and apply legislation, regulations, and policy requirements; develop or revise policy guidance; and provide expert consultation to leadership on compliance and oversight implications.
- →Lead management reviews and internal control assessments to evaluate operational practices, identify deficiencies or risks, and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
- →Develop strategies, analytical tools, and evaluation methods to support risk management, decision-making, and organizational accountability, including assessing data accuracy and identifying trends.
- →Represent the organization in meetings, briefings, and committees, presenting findings and recommendations, explaining complex issues, and reconciling differing viewpoints among stakeholders.
- →Establish, monitor, and refine administrative and internal control systems to ensure responsible stewardship of government resources, prevent waste or misuse, and support transparency and compliance.
