This position is located in the Training Development and Analysis Division, Foreign Affairs Security Training Center, Directorate of Training, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS). The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining the DS Lessons Learned Program (LLP); providing expert advice, guidance and instruction in the DS Deliberate Planning Process; managing and maintaining the Knowledge from the Field library; and ensuring that FASTC training is continuously up to date.
What You'll Do
- →Provides technical analysis, advice, and guidance on a broad spectrum of security preparedness topics, including criminal and terrorist threats domestically and abroad.
- →Manages DS/T's Lessons Learned Program through the Diplomatic Security Center for Lessons Learned (DSCLL) platform, including oversight of data collection, analysis, dissemination, and maintenance of lessons learned products and databases.
- →Researches training trends and patterns to determine effective criteria and methods for revising training courses and evaluating delivered training programs.
- →Analyzes feedback, instructor evaluations, after-action reports, and survey data to prepare recommendations and ensure training curricula remain current, effective, and mission aligned.
- →Oversees the proper functioning of curriculum and instructional databases and participates in curriculum reviews to ensure compliance with DS policies, regulations, standards, and Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA ) requirements.
