What You'll Do
- →Provide analysis and assessment of enterprise-wide Defense Health Agency initiatives for the Defense Health Agency Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Office.
- →Manage complex Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests requiring interpretation of statutory requirements, case law, and agency regulations to ensure accurate, timely, and legally sufficient responses.
- →Conduct record searches and perform detailed line-by-line review of sensitive records.
- →Apply Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) exemptions with precision.
- →Prepare defensible rationales that balance transparency with protection of sensitive information.
- →Draft clear, concise, and well-structured correspondence and closure memoranda that articulate the basis for release or withholding decisions, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and full documentation of the FOIA life cycle.
