About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Operations Directorate in Washington, D.C. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • In this position, you will support and advise acquisition program managers and headquarters acquisition staff on planning, oversight, and evaluation of CBP acquisition programs.
  • The position directly advances the CBP and DHS mission by providing authoritative analysis and advice that informs major acquisition and program decisions, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of homeland security operations.
  • This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
  • As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating complex CBP acquisition programs and initiatives.
  • Typical duties will include: Directing and overseeing segments of CBP acquisition programs by conducting special studies, advising managers, and developing and evaluating acquisition management policies, procedures, and documents.
  • Implementing and monitoring management information systems to analyze and track program data, long- and short-range plans, and policy priorities.
  • Planning, developing, and delivering briefings, presentations, and conferences for senior leadership, ensuring accurate, concise, and timely information and controlling related documentation.
  • Performing analysis and reviews major and non-major acquisition programs and their documentation, providing program management advice aligned with acquisition policies, directives, and best practices and participating in periodic program evaluations.

Requirements
