This position is located within the Medical Subspecialty Care (MSSC) Service at the Kansas City VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. MSSC is a large clinical service providing inpatient and outpatient care across multiple specialty areas.
What You'll Do
- →Duties included but not limited to: Analyzes data generated from a variety of VA systems and reporting tools including VistA, CPRS, VSSC, MCA/DSS, Power BI, and other available databases to identify workload, productivity, access, and operational trends within MSSC.
- →Extracts, compiles, validates, and organizes data for reports, spreadsheets, dashboards, presentations, and leadership briefings.
- →Prepares recurring and ad hoc reports related to provider productivity, clinic utilization, workload capture, encounters, consults, and operational performance.
- →Reviews data for accuracy and identifies discrepancies or issues requiring follow-up.
- →Provides reports and summaries used by leadership to monitor service operations and performance measures.
- →Uses available benchmark and trend data to assist leadership in evaluating operational performance and service needs.
- →Assists with compiling information related to service goals, workload trends, and performance improvement activities.
- →Monitors workload capture and reporting activities for the service by tracking encounters, consult completion, unsigned documentation, workload reports, and related operational data.
- →Identifies incomplete or missing workload information and coordinates with appropriate staff regarding follow-up actions.
- →Assist leadership with monitoring workload trends, provider productivity, clinic utilization, and operational performance by preparing workload summaries, trend reports, and other analytical products.
- →Collaborate with service staff and MCA/DSS personnel regarding workload reporting issues and data accuracy.
- →Supports administrative and operational activities by maintaining tracking systems, preparing data summaries, and assisting with special projects related to service operations and workflow.
- →Collects, organizes, and summarizes data related to clinic operations, workload management, customer service activities, and other administrative functions within the service.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
