About the Role

The Smithsonian Institution is the world's largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Business Innovation and Technology department, National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute (NZCBI), Office of the Under Secretary of Science and Research (OUSSR), Smithsonian Institution (SI).

What You'll Do

  • →The Management Analyst is responsible for managing HR programs related to staffing, classification, employee and labor relations, workforce development, and equal employment opportunity.
  • →In this position, you will: Conduct workforce planning and organizational assessments by analyzing staffing levels, position management, workload allocation, and competency needs, and recommends strategies to optimize workforce performance and achieve program goals.
  • →Provide HR advisory services to managers and employees on staffing, recruitment, classification, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and employee development.
  • →Provide strategic HR policy and program support by advising leadership on personnel policies, procedures, and workforce management matters.
  • →Serve as the technical expert for HR information systems, overseeing data maintenance, reporting, and electronic processes while providing user support and guidance.
