This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, National Personnel Records Center. This position reports to the Team Chief overseeing the support infrastructure. Incumbent supports the Team Chief's mission to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of actions taken by the members of their team, as well as the preservation and propagation of corporate knowledge, and professional development of subordinate members.
What You'll Do
- →The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12.
- →If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- →As a Management Analyst, you will: Conduct management studies of the various organizational elements of the Center utilizing accepted management principles and theories.
- →Develop operating improvements and techniques through use of manual and automated systems, procedures, methods and techniques to assure the most economical and efficient system enabling the successful execution of NPRC's mission.
- →Manage production workload through near-real-time monitoring of work composition changes, staff production and workload behavior analysis, and assignment process tuning.
- →Ensure effective data transfers between the Center's internal and external interfaces.
- →Schedule and coordinate work, direct use of personnel and is accountable for the effectiveness and accomplishments of all operations to obtain maximum utilization of personnel and equipment, including the development of reports to be used in the measurement and control of output.
Requirements
- ✓The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
- ✓One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
- ✓To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
- ✓A probationary or trial period may be required.
- ✓Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.
- ✓A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9.
- ✓Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
- ✓Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- ✓The work is primarily sedentary, although physical effort may be required, e.g., when researching records in the file area.
- ✓Climbing of ladders and lifting of boxes weighing up to 30 pounds may be required.
