The Management Analyst Deputy Chief of Staff (Primary Care & Specialty Services) - DETAIL up to 120 Days serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff (delegated full authority and responsibility) for Community Care, and other specified Specialty Services at Orlando VA Healthcare System. Using knowledge of the programs to develop, analyze, and manage the actual or potential effectiveness of the procedures, work methods, manpower, utilization, and distribution of work assignments within aligned service.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Provides administrative oversight of services aligned to the Deputy Chief of Staff, including clinical services across multiple facilities.
- →Manages all recruitment actions, staffing levels, compensation recommendations, market pay reviews, and staff coverage for Deputy Chief of Staff services.
- →Oversees subordinate administrative personnel at the service level and establishes operating procedures to ensure policy compliance.
- →Reviews and manages clinical appeals, congressional responses, and other correspondence requiring senior leadership approval.
- →Collaborates with the Deputy Chief of Staff to assign work and ensure deadlines are met across service chiefs and VHA leadership.
- →Serves as advisor and reviewer for resource decisions including budget, human resources, equipment, and information technology.
- →Tracks and trends information and project actions across Orlando VA Healthcare System.
- →Serves as an active member on medical center committees, workgroups, and teams as assigned by executive leadership.
- →Develops and maintains quality management programs to meet procedural, legal, and accreditation requirements related to patient care.
- →Proposes procedural and policy changes to the Deputy Chief of Staff, including drafting Policy Memoranda and plans to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
