This position is located with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area, in the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan, Kansas. In this position, you will be an integral member of the Administrative Office Support Staff and work with the Administrative Officer and the location's management team to efficiently and effectively carry out administrative operations.
What You'll Do
- →Access confidential information used to provide detailed business analysis of operation management dealings.
- →Provide support and guidance in performance management, real property, personal property, travel, and personnel security requirements.
- →Provide advisory services to managers and employees on performance management policies.
- →Track background investigations for the organization in order to ensure individuals retain and have required access.
- →Provide advisory services in monitoring and reviewing all material transfer agreements to ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
- →Develop business plans to meet the administrative operational requirements of National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility.
- →Discuss possible problems or anticipated changes in the methods or requirements in the administrative management arena.
- →Advise the Administrative Officer and management officials of proposed solutions on a variety of issues.
