About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce for to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. This is a Term position Not to Exceed (NTE) 4 Years. Term positions may be extended beyond six years up to 8 years. Also refer to Additional Information for Term Appointment details.
What You'll Do
- →Constructs items from wood where specific fit and accuracy are within allowable limits to produce a serviceable product.
- →Sets up power saws, drill presses, etc., for various cutting, shaping and drilling.
- →Paints signs, targets, markers and structures by using standard coating methods such as brushing, rolling and spraying by coating materials that are prepared to specific directions.
- →Cuts brush, tree limbs and grass to clear lanes of fire by utilizing mowing machines, tractors with bush hogs, and/or other tools and equipment as required.
- →Operates a motor vehicle with trailer to transport materials to and from ranges on installation and public roads,
