You will serve as a Maintenance Worker for the Timpanogos Cave National Monument with National Park Service. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as permanent appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work for approximately 22 pay periods, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
What You'll Do
- →Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Perform work of limited scope or difficulty involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and associated utilities.
- →Assist journeyman and higher graded maintenance workers in performing more difficult assignments associated with the traders of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and related trades.
- →Perform basic repairs on buildings, utilities and grounds including minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
Requirements
- ✓Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Direct Deposit participation required.

- ✓You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.

- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary during which your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest will be evaluated.
