About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION - PERMANENT. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number NGD2196000 and is part of the Guam G4 Directorate of Logistics, National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →May serve as the developmental position for the ARNG Food Program Manager responsible and accountable for oversight of the entire state ARNG Food Service program which includes the administration of the Food Service Budget, Awards Program, new equipment fielding's, training, Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) and inspections.
- →Budgets for subsistence operations and subsistence requirements, including operational ration ceilings.
- →Assesses use of facilities and equipment, to ensure expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse impact on normal, recurring work.
- →Develops for the DCSLOG-G4recommendations, policies, procedures, long range plans, and special projects.
- →Recommends solutions to controversial problems and actions of a precedent-setting nature, to include coordination with major commands and the Army Center of Excellence, Subsistence (ACES).Participates in field exercise planning sessions, discussing availability of subsistence, budgets, issue of operational rations and ARNG support to exercises.
- →Serves as Chairperson and as a voting member of The Adjutant Generals Food Service Management Board.
- →Responsible for planning and oversight of subsistence support to ARNG units and dining facilities.
- →Coordinates veterinary staff support for cyclic inspections of operational rations as required.
- →Maintains oversight of facility and subsistence security to ensure theft prevention, unexplained losses, and unauthorized entry procedures are enforced. 3.
- →Provides technical liaison service to each ARNG unit, prime vendor, and other vendor companies.
- →Provides subsistence support for troop movements, maneuvers, and emergency and contingency plan requirements, in addition to normal and daily support.
- →Performs oversight of customer and stockage requirements determination process and proper pricing of subsistence.
- →Coordinates prime vendor and other vendor deliveries to ARNG dining facilities and unit Readiness Centers as required.
- →Computes and publishes the Basic Daily Food Allowance (BDFA) for the ARNG State.
Requirements
- ✓In lieu of specialized experience, the following education is required to qualify for position: master's or equivalent graduate degree 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
- ✓To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
