What You'll Do
- →Serves as an Inmate Classification & Computation Technician located within the Designations and Sentence Computation Center (DSCC) for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
- →Responsible for Judgment & Commitment files, sentence computations, release audits of computations, computation case audits, security and control of records, and initial inmate classifications for designations.
- →Collects all necessary information from the US District Court, US Marshal Service and US Probation Office, or other authorities needed to request and provide designation and compute inmates' sentences.
- →Serves as a subject matter expert, assisting institution staff with responses to questions and interpretations of status and case law within their respective field.
Requirements
- ✓Career Transition Programs (CTAP or ICTAP): These programs apply to Federal and/or DOJ employees who meet the definition of surplus or displaced from a position in the competitive service.
- ✓To receive selection priority for this position, you must: 1.
- ✓Meet CTAP or ICTAP eligibility criteria; 2.
- ✓Be rated well-qualified for the position, scoring at least half of the total possible points for the vacancy KSAs or competencies; and 3.
- ✓Submit the appropriate documentation to support your CTAP or ICTAP eligibility: A copy of the agency notice (i.e., separation notice or agency RIF letter), Most recent performance appraisal, and Most recent SF-50 showing current/former position, grade, promotion potential, and duty location.
