This position is in the Office of Technology, Architecture and Engineering (A&E), with the Department of Veterans Affairs'(VA), Electronic Health Records Modernization Integration Office EHRM-IO within the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA (DEPSECVA). The incumbent is responsible for supporting test environments and procedures required for the production deployment of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

- →This position is primarily aligned to the following NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework work roles: Cybersecurity Code 651 - Enterprise Architect: Develops and maintains business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs; develops information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures.
- →The work often requires long hours to meet testing deadlines and to devise corrective action and solutions to unexpected technical and/or management crises resulting in sometimes highly stressful work situations.
- →The work requires almost constant use of a video display terminal.
- →Major Duties: Plans, schedules, executes, monitors, and reports on various efforts that design, engineer, and operate test environments and test software product solutions or efforts related to the creation and operation of organizational capabilities.
- →Collaborates with customers and business domain owners to define and refine the test environments and testing scope, requirements, and deliverables; obtains business and information technology sponsor approvals.
- →Improves and implements efficient and economical management of information systems in support of Technology Directorate activities.
- →Translates technical specifications into programming specifications; develops, customizes, or acquires applications software programs; and tests debugs, and maintains software programs.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants can qualify fully on the basis of licensure, certification, registration, or special training as an alternative to experience.
- ✓Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (particularly positions with a positive education requirement).
