The primary purpose of this position is: The position is responsible to plan, direct, organize, and exercise control over "Enterprise" Information Technology (IT) Systems supporting the operations of Air Force (AF)Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR).
What You'll Do
- →DUTY 1: Manages the acquisition, development, and implementation of new or modified information systems, subsystems, or equipment items to meet cost, schedule, performance, and supportability criteria.
- →DUTY 2: Represents the organization at conferences and meetings and presents briefings.
- →Leads and/or participates in discussions, meetings, conferences, working groups, committees or special IT projects.
- →Analyzes areas of concern, identifies problems, and resolves conflicts through persuasive discussions with management and user representatives.
- →DUTY 3: Execute the role of the AF DCGS East Coast Hub Local Data Center Manager.
- →Serves in the lead management role of responsible for mission system data centers with support from the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Information System (IS), network and system engineers and civil engineering staff.
- →DUTY 4: As a recognized expert, leads, provides technical guidance, advisory support and assistance on projects and/or major phases on contract activities and to functional users.
Requirements
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
- ✓This position is in the Excepted Service.
