- →This mission of OCIO is to enable delivery of HUD programs, services, and management processes by providing high-quality information technology (IT) solutions and services.
- →As a/an IT Specialist, you will: Serve as a expert advisor and consultant to senior management in the design, development, execution and deployment of HUDs Enterprise Architecture Program which includes assisting the Chief Architect in developing the architecture model as it relates to services and technology.
- →Assist HUD IT staff and program offices in the appropriate application of HUDs Enterprise Architecture to meet specific business needs for information.
- →Analyze the existing architecture to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, obsolescence and technology gaps, particularly in software/systems engineering.
- →Manage and coordinate the work of employees and contract personnel at various grade levels; and ensures the continuous training and development of subordinates in standard project management techniques, including the technical monitoring of contract performance and deliverables.
- →Ensure that software and systems quality and functionality by assessing program/application documentation and evaluating new applications software.
Requirements
- ✓The official duty station for this position will be in Alexandria, Virginia.
- ✓Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.
- ✓Key Requirements: Must be U.S.
- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓A probationary or trial period may be required.
- ✓Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
