This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Chief Information Officer, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia. What You'll Do
- →As an IT Specialist (NETWORK/OS), you will: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-availability enterprise LAN/WAN, WLAN, SDN, VPN, routing, and switching architectures that support mission-critical systems and agency-wide.
- →Develop enterprise network architecture standards, modernization strategies, hybrid connectivity solutions, and Zero Trust network designs to improve performance, resilience, and interoperability across the organization.
- →Conduct advanced troubleshooting, capacity planning, performance optimization, incident response, and integration of network infrastructure with cybersecurity controls, monitoring tools, firewalls, and access management solutions.
- →Provide guidance to leadership, program managers, engineers, and stakeholders on enterprise network engineering, infrastructure planning, technology adoption, and IT service delivery.
- →Lead network infrastructure projects from planning through implementation, develop technical requirements, monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with statements of work, and present project status and recommendations to agency leadership and stakeholders.
