About the Position: This position is located at Fort Sam Houston, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those new to Federal service. While not required, preferred candidates will have experience in the following areas: wireless local area network sustainment; network infrastructure and troubleshooting support; routing, access control, and cybersecurity; monitoring, logging, and endpoint integration.
What You'll Do
- →Analyzes, assesses, and provides user access to the Local Area Network (LAN/Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) via the addition of hardware or via reconfiguring existing hardware.
- →Initiates appropriate actions to optimize LAN/WLAN performance via system fine tuning, hardware and/or software enhancements.
- →Develops requirements to facilitate end user LAN/WLAN interfaces with medical systems and applications.
- →Collaborates with staff, System Administrators, Military Treatment Facility (MTF) Network Staff, and Cyber Security personnel to ensure the security of systems, networks, and devices in the DHAs LAN/WLAN Accreditation.
- →Conducts periodic scanning of network to identify compliant and non-compliant systems on network.
- →Provides reports to higher echelons, Cyber Security, and the MTFs.
- →Develops, procures, and deploys new network technologies in support of LAN/WLAN hardware and software life cycle management.
