THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)-Title 5, Position Description Number T58212P1 and is part of the WI 115 CF, Wisconsin Air National Guard. This position is in the Exceptive Service "under the authority for Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)"
What You'll Do
- →Manages the COMSEC account for the Wing/Base and subordinate units.
- →Report deviations from established COMSEC and Security guidelines to higher headquarters.
- →Assure semi-annual functional reviews of all COMSEC users' accounts are performed.
- →Serves as the Base Computer Security (COMPUSEC) Manager.
- →Serves as the central focal point for all Task Orders (TaskOrds) and system vulnerability alerts.
- →Ensures all requests for information (RFIs) and TaskOrds are distributed to appropriate work centers and reports progress of compliance to leadership and Higher Headquarters. *** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. ***
Requirements
- ✓CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- ✓This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- ✓An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- ✓Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

- ✓THIS POSITION CONDUCTS INFORMATION ASSURANCE FUNCTIONS.
- ✓THE INCUMBENT SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM AND WILL BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN CERTIFICATION.
- ✓CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE OUTLINED IN DOD INSTRUCTION 8570.01-M7.
- ✓This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
- ✓Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the National Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel (NGB-J1).
- ✓Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- ✓May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
