This position serves as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN), located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, Service Delivery Staff, Administration, End-User Support Services Directorate in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for planning and administering the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise hardware and software systems, ensuring availability, reliability, and interoperability
What You'll Do
- →The duties and responsibilities for a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Manages the full lifecycle of assigned IT assets and utilizes automated property management systems, including ServiceNow, to record and track asset acquisition details.
- →Analyzes system interfaces to resolve integration issues.
- →Conducts routine audits to reconcile physical and electronic records.
- →Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments, security evaluations, and/or audits to identify impacts with asset accountability.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓For the GS-14 level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone.
- ✓No substitution of education for experience is permitted.
