The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a NASIC authority for ensuring the application of IA policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of the Center's Information Technology (IT) services. The incumbent also participates participating IA program planning, direction and implementation. The incumbent assists in the prevention, detection, loss and recovery of IT products and services.
What You'll Do
- →As an IT Specialist, the employee prepares, implements, directs, reviews and coordinates on IA policies, procedures, directives, programs, and projects by interfacing with peers, senior leaders, MAJCOM and other external agency representatives, and government contractors. 2.
- →Manages/Executes AF-approved software program that identifies and summarizes network and computer-based vulnerabilities. 3.
- →Participating in activities leading to DoD and DoDIIS Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of NASIC hardware and/or software systems, including providing guidance and assistance in the preparation of required C&A documentation. 4.
- →Participating in IT configuration management and engineering review board meetings, serving as advisor regarding IT security policies and procedures.

- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
- ✓This position is in the Excepted Service.
