The Smithsonian Institution is the world's largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in Education Strategist, Office of the Under Secretary for Education (OUSE), Smithsonian Institution (SI), and responsible for identifying opportunities for cultural, educational and enrichment programming, and research.
What You'll Do
- →The Enterprise Architecture (ENTARCH/INET) is responsible for developing and implementing OUSE's overall digital strategies across communications, web, and design, affecting all five units, the pan-institutional Smithsonian Education community, and programs and initiatives overseen by OUSE's direct staff.
- →In this position, you will: Plan, evaluate, advise on and create, through custom coding and iterative feedback loops, new digital webpages that support pan-Smithsonian education initiatives and OUSE programs.
- →Lead pan-Smithsonian intake and maintenance of an evolving database of Smithsonian Education resources and media assets that supports internal understanding of inventory.
- →Manage ongoing internal and external communications for OUSE through formats, such as e-newsletters, one-page monthly digests, public-facing websites, and internal SharePoint sites.
- →Participate in OUSE, Smithsonian Education and SI-wide technology and education initiatives by participating on committees and working groups.
