This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Consumer Information & Insurance Oversight (CCIIO), Marketplace Innovation & Technology Group (MITG), Division of HUB, Data, & State Support. As an IT Specialist (Data Management), GS-2210-13, you will support major information systems and cloud-based data environments that directly support the Health Insurance Marketplace under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
What You'll Do
- →Lead data ingestion, integration, and reconciliation across internal systems and external data partners.
- →Translate Marketplace program, policy, and operational needs into data requirements, mappings, business rules, validation steps, and acceptance criteria.
- →Establish and improve data governance, metadata, lineage, quality controls, access controls, and the appropriate use of sensitive data.
- →Plan and support cloud data services, self-service analytics, data catalogs, reports, dashboards, and operational extracts.
- →Track performance, availability, cost, and user value.
- →Provide technical direction and oversight to contractors and application development teams.
- →Coordinate with program, architecture, engineering, security, privacy, operations, and external partners providing excellent customer service.
