This position serves as a IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/SYSADMIN), located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, Cybersecurity Services Staff, National Classified Systems Directorate, NCS IT service Desk in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for providing IT Customer Service support. As an IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/SYSADMIN), the employee works on the DOJ-OCIO Service Desk with a background in the support of DOJ-OCIO users with a variety of tasks.
What You'll Do
- →The duties and responsibilities for a IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/SYSADMIN) GS-2210-12 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs customer support duties to include account management, password resets, and addressing priority needs for the organization.
- →Analyzes configuration management processes and procedures, develops and recommends processes, software, and procedures to ensure effective configuration management.
- →Identifies and carries out actions investigates, recommend a cost-effective solution to management.
- →Plans and coordinates the maintenance, upgrade, and support of systems.
- →Schedules maintenance activities during off-peak usage periods.
- →Manages and maintains the baseline configuration of hardware, software, and network systems.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓For the GS-12 level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone.
- ✓No substitution of education for experience is permitted.
