This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology,OIT, Enterprise Architecture and Data Group. As a IT SPECIALIST (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE), GS-2210-14, you will function as the organization's foremost subject matter expert and thought leader, directing comprehensive AI/ML platform engineering initiatives.
What You'll Do
- →Provide executive-level strategic leadership and vision for AI/ML platform engineering across the enterprise, establishing long-term technology roadmaps and architectural standards that align with national AI initiatives.
- →Direct the development of revolutionary internal developer platforms (IDPs) and self-service ecosystems that enable autonomous, scalable AI/ML operations across diverse organizational units.
- →Lead innovation in advanced hardware optimization including quantum-classical hybrid systems, specialized AI accelerators, and distributed computing architectures that push the boundaries of AI/ML performance and efficiency.
- →Develop and implements comprehensive, enterprise-wide governance frameworks for AI/ML platforms that establish industry-leading standards for model lifecycle management, ethical AI practices, and regulatory compliance across federal agencies.
- →Provide executive-level leadership and strategic direction to senior technical staff, cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive organizational transformation and establish CMS as a leader in government AI innovation.
