About the Role

This position is in the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO), under the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA (DEPSECVA). The incumbent serves as an IT Project Manager managing IT projects related to maintaining, creating, and implementing an efficient EHR to meet EHRM-IO's multimillion-dollar long range mission, products, and service requirements. This position will be physically located in a VA owned or leased office/space and require up to 75% official travel.

What You'll Do

  • Applicants will be reviewed based on date of application.

  • Monitor meaningful performance metrics used in evaluating the accomplishments of program and project goals and objectives.
  • Ensure programs, projects, policies, and operations align with applicable IT management regulations and guidance.
  • Represent facility on interagency work groups as needed to develop Government-wide IT policy initiatives and solutions to critical issues.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and ensure compliance with Federal, VA laws and regulations, policies, standards, or procedures.
  • Identify standards or requirements for infrastructure, technical configuration or technical change management, Section 508 Accessibility compliance.
  • Develop methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts.
  • Evaluate programs and projects to deliver value-based recommendations for funding considerations.
  • Perform effective coordination and integration of all areas of responsibility with geographically dispersed resources and matrixed resources assigned to a project.
  • Participate in negotiations, joint planning activities, information gathering sessions, strategic planning sessions and evaluation of projects.
