This position may be filled using Direct Hire Authority: Z5CAV/Direct-Hire Authority (Certain DoD Personnel) PL 118-31, Sec 125OB (i)(2), 12/22/2023.This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated August 12,2024. This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
What You'll Do
- →As a IT PROJECT MANAGER at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Manages the full lifecycle of IT projects, contributing to the planning, engineering, integration, and implementation of new technology solutions in line with organizational goals.
- →Contributes to IT governance and resource management by monitoring project budgets, providing data for technology investment justifications, and ensuring the cost-effective use of resources.
- →Works with stakeholders to define project scopes and translate operational needs into detailed technical requirements.
- →Serves as a certified Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) managing the full acquisition lifecycle, from developing pre-award documentation to performing post-award contract administration, while providing direction to contractors, validating deliverables, and ensuring all activities comply with federal acquisition regulations.
- →As a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), performs oversight of IT contracts, ensuring contractor work aligns with government objectives and validating that deliverables meet specified requirements.
- →Assists with the development and maintaining of comprehensive project plans, tracks progress against milestones, and implements risk mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- →Serves as point of contact between government requirement officers, project teams, vendors, and management, ensuring clear communication and alignment to achieve project objectives.
