You will serve as a IT PROJECT MANAGER (CUSTSPT) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY/SPAWAR SYSTEMS COMMAND of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as Naval Information Warfare Command (NAVWAR) Project Manager for the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, Engineering and Installation Division.
- →You will monitor and report on cost, schedule, performance, and quality of projects and project teams; and serve as government witness and signatory to "G-Point” inspections for shipboard work conducted by project contractor personnel.
- →You will deliver regular project-related briefs and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including ship's commanding officers, senior military personnel, civilian management, and fleet commanders.
- →You will conduct daily shipboard safety inspections and make on-the-spot recommendations to correct unsatisfactory and unsafe conditions.
- →You will monitor contractor performance, inspect contractor work, ensure compliance with contract terms, and act as a liaison between the contractor and the government.
