This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA FE/Special Services/Infrastructure Office.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent plans, organizes, directs, and completes studies, analyses and evaluations of plans, programs, projects, policies, and procedures to institutionalize security considerations throughout the lifecycle of DOD information systems.
- →Provides technical guidance to technical specialists and engineers in areas such as security engineering lifecycle, network communication, and systems development, and documentation.
- →Incumbent conducts testing of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and Government off the Shelf (GOTS) information assurance software.
- →Researches the applicability of new technological developments in the field to solve continuing problems or meet future needs of the Defense Information Infrastructure.
- →Performs staff assignments, provides advice to decision-makers in setting program goals and establishing priorities to support the development of policy and procedures for implementation of higher level guidance.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-13 grade level.
