This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-TRANSPORT SERVICES DIRECTORATE (IE26).
What You'll Do
- →Analyze agency information assurance directives to determine their impact on the branch and establish a plan for compliance.
- →Attend information assurance conferences and meetings on behalf of the branch, and provide management with timely updates on significant developments.
- →Serve as the subject matter expert on applying information assurance and cybersecurity principles to all DNS mission systems.
- →Direct and oversee cybersecurity and information assurance projects to ensure the successful execution of the mission.
- →Ensure that all cybersecurity vulnerabilities are remediated and patches are applied to every DNS mission device.
- →Assess the latest advancements in information assurance and cybersecurity, offering expert guidance on their strategic value.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-13 grade level.
