These positions are to be filled under the OPM Government-Wide Direct Hire Authority for STEM Positions for grades GS 12-15. This serves as a public notice for the use of the Direct Hire Authority in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 3327 and 3330 and 5 CFR 330. - →Veterans shape the future of energy As a Supervisory Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Physical Scientist, you will: Executes the research and development of the nuclear fuel supply chain capabilities in order to establish a high-assay low enriched uranium (HALEU) supply chain.
- →Oversees the programmatic and technical requirements, planning documents, objectives, functions, and performance measures for Fuel Cycle Technologies.
- →Direct the implementation of the Department of Energy's Uranium Strategy and the HALEU Consortium activities.
- →Supervise a staff, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and providing guidance and development opportunities.
- →Ensures subordinates are following that EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) and Affirmative Action policies.
- →Evaluates activities for efficient resource use and integration across various program elements, including approving work scope and resource allocations.
